i really liked the look at 4:25
sruli recht always has that distinct neckline, is that because of the laser cutting technique?
some great pieces: liked the blazers and bomber.
skunk bomber is a bit 80'd dope dealer but who'd have thought to whip up a bomber from skunk?!

i get a "natural tech" vibe from his stuff. the end product is very technical but he uses traditional materials like lambskin.

Dude at 2:43 cracks me up

Speaking strictly from a visual standpoint since I never handled any of it, Sruli stuff leaves me totally cold. I find that the cuts and silhouettes oscillate between totally pedestrian and weirdly tailored/messy. And I really dislike the cropped blazer thing, the way it hugs the body, that shrinkwrapped feel and the combination with more drapey stuff (more a Fall 2012 thing)... It's cool that he experiments with constructions techniques an uses fabrics from outerspace and makes dried lava dildos or whatever but somehow the end result feels like less than the sum of its parts to me.

Was browsing through the Isaac Reina stuff and saw that the Topography wallets were a collab with this guy. Here's what I dug up on his website:

KOSTAS MURKUDIS is of greek decent, was born in Dresden and now lives and works in Berlin. He worked as first design assistant to Helmut Lang for seven years before launching his own line in 1994.

Not really feeling this but the paper dresses thing was pretty striking.

I definitely see the HL influence. Also reminds me a bit of last couple of Celine collections, especially with the colourblocking. Interested in finding out more, thanks for the link snow

Looks much more like Céline than HL tbh. His older stuff is closer to HL, actually some of campaign ads were very reminiscent of HL in the composition and typeface used etc, Murkudis himself kinda looks like Helmut on a diet.
