Since Sir David Frost has passed away. He was a great TV personality, but he had great style. His shirts were made by Turnbull & Asser. I'm planning on shopping in NYC at Turnbull & Asser later this month.

People just knew how to dress then. Another well dressed Englishman we lost recently was Alan Wicker.

The late Alan Whicker worn a windsor knot while the late David Frost wore a four-in-hand knot.

Did you know that the late David Frost was afraid of eating mustard and once dated Diahann Carrol?

This post is of little benefit or relevance and even less interest.

Yes I would say that Sir David Frost's interviewing style was as incisive as his Turnbull & Asser shirt stripes , or should it be the other way round ? Either way the shirt fitted the man. Condolences to the family, its a big loss.

In the film Frost/ Nixon which is supposed to be factual, Nixon comments on Frost's
shoes "without laces". The provincial Nixon thought them effeminate:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frost/Nixon_(film)

"Shortly before Frost returns to England, he and Caroline visit Nixon at his villa. Frost thanks Nixon for the interviews and presents him with a gift pair of Italian shoes that Nixon mentioned during their first meeting. Nixon is reluctant about wearing shoes without shoelaces and sees them as effeminate. Nixon, realizing he has lost, however, graciously thank Frost and wishes him well in future endeavors. Nixon then asks to speak to Frost privately. Nixon asks if he had really called Frost before the final interview and if they had spoken about anything important. Frost replies that Nixon did indeed call and they talked about cheeseburgers. Reston says that Nixon's lasting legacy was the suffix "gate" being added to any political scandal. The epilogue tells that the interviews were wildly successful and that Nixon wrote a 1,000 page memoir, but never escaped controversy until his death in 1994. At the film's close, Nixon watches David Frost and Caroline Cushing leave and then leans over a railing of his villa, looking out at the sunset and contemplating the future."
