Any suggestions for black casual shoes. The type to wear with jeans to a semi-nice restaurant. Hoping to stay around the $100 mark since this is my first foray into shoes like this. I'm mostly a sneakers guy so I'm not sure where to even begin. All the shoes I have looked at so far are seem too dressy. Thanks!

How are Dayton Service boots in the winter? Is the leather too soft? I'm in Vancouver btw.

In Ontario, I found sno-seal at wal-mart but only ever saw it at that one.

How do I take care of my leather boots? I dont want 'em shine. Waterproofing & protector spray? Shoe cream. Any product advice is welcome, thanks. [IMG]

It should be fine provided some water-repellent conditioner or treatment. The leather on these boots is thick but relatively soft, so much so that I feel like they become more distressed as you wear them, regardless of the weather conditions.

Don't keep them in boot trees; kinda kills the whole point. i'd say condition them occasionally, to set off the creases.

I believe Dayton makes a waterproofing oil.

OK Oil i think its called. Dayton oil+dayton boots seems like a good combination to me.

Where have you been the last 3 years? [IMG]

Wings and Horns Dayton Service boots. The brown leather is oil tanned so it's already somewhat waterproof. I'm going to use the OK Oil when I get my pair.
