The problem with lengthening a waistcoat from the shoulders is that you run the risk of the front of the waistcoat becoming too low and uncovering a button, perhaps. I'm not saying it can't be done, but it's something to be aware of.
I may have to accept that it fundamentally just doesn’t fit from how far in it cuts into the shirt from where the lapels lie. Not too concerned about studs (it’s a three stud shirt). I think a U shape would be better suited.

*sigh* it shouldn’t be this hard to find decent RTW menswear haha

how do you dress black tie when the bride and groom actually have no idea what black tie means? wedding invite says black tie. i talked to bridge and groom and the groom just picked up a suit that he really likes. i'm not one to outdo the groom but still want to stay within the rules.

I would educate them as to what black tie actually means so that they don’t continue to operate in ignorance. Then they might decide to re-word their invitations accordingly if necessary.

Tie and cummerbund in process with Hober. Shirt has arrived, studs inbound from @nomanwalksalone, and this is in Naples for shipment. Wearing black whole cuts passed down from my father.

Somewhat off topic... but the next 007 will be played by someone that makes the traditional dinner suit scenes somewhat difficult in future movies after the handover.

Given 007 has traditional been a womanizer of the highest order, something tells me attire ain't the only thing changing with this torch passing

I have always found a woman in a tuxedo very sexy. Especially with the no shirt no tie look...

Too expensive. Try the no-trousers option.
