Do you mean peak lapels ?

Yes, the RLBL has somewhat narrow peak lapels. Not shockingly so but I'd like a jacket with wider peak lapels.

Mine is not a Brioni and not an Attolini, its "only" a Hackett Tux, but i am satisfied with it. But i am shure you'll get it from Brioni also ;).

This is the RLBL I have. I think I'll just stick with what I've got. It fits wonderfully. Tempting to have an Attolini, though. The way the lapel rolls it would cover the lower stud and cummerbund. Maybe wear with a vest?

It looks very nice and elegant in mid-night blue.
I personally don't wear a vest with my tuxedo.
I only have a cummerbund.

I changed the pic to the black one. I put the midnight blue one in by mistake.

What do you guys think of this jacket? Thinking of lapel roll and buttoning point. It's an Attolini in my exact size.

EDIT: @Andy57 @The Chai do you guys think this tux works? the lapel roll seems a bit high over the button. Would it just cover the lowest stud and cummerbund? Better with a vest maybe or just don't button it?
My two cents is that either jacket looks great and if the Attolini might be a better fit then go for that one. I think the lapel roll is fine and in real life will not be as pronounced or as noticeable as it is on the mannequin.

It's the waist covering that you use that determines how many studs show. I'd probably use a cummerbund with this jacket, but a backless waistcoat will probably work fine, too, as long as your trousers have a high enough rise. If you wear a waistcoat you have more leeway to not button the jacket.

Yours looks absolutely fine Smitty. Save your money for something else.
This is solid advice, I think. If you already have a serviceable black dinner jacket, there's no reason to get a second one. Get something different, instead. Ivory, beige, something in velvet. Be bold!

Looks like the dry cleaners pressed the lapel at the wrong height or the suit roll was put in wrongly. Apparently voxsartoria never buttons his jacket if he’s wearing a three piece. I would say it’s serviceable for me. I don’t like stud shirts and prefer linen shirts with nicer buttons for my dinner jackets but I’m abit more relaxed with DJs

...could be risky but if its cheap enough to risk it maybe buy it and have it pressed?

I got married on St. John, USVI in a nice white BB dinner jacket. I need to wear that a bit more often. Thanks for the advice!

My next DJ project...I think I'll get a dark navy fresco mohair...unlined 4x1 shawl....self faced because I want to wear it with a variety of my navy/midnight bow ties with a self stripe on the trousers... I thought it would be something different since I already have a collection of black tie..thoughts?

Came out well! British shirtmakers would not be happy with the studs though. The code now is 3 for black tie, 2 for white. Personally, I don’t see a reason to be fussy about that, unless you really want black tie to be semi-formal and not a huge “dressing up” kind of thing.
Also, is that a suit or different jacket and trousers?
