1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Maybe the beer helped too.

If I need a white silk scarf and don't want to pay $300 for a T&A, any suggestions?

I think ClermontDirect.com has one. Customer service is very good so inquire about their return policy. Might be able to order, inspect, and return if necessary.

I'd bet it's nice enough to use the two or three times per year you'd wear the tux.

For the record, I've been perfectly happy with everything I've ever ordered from them. Except my shirt. After the first wash, the sleeves shrank so much it's now unwearable. But I'll still use CD for other stuff.

Good to know. I know there is enough room in my shirt for the sleeves and bodice to shrink, but did the collar stay true? Anyway, I probably will have it dry cleaned anyway.

This abomination came up on my Facebook news feed in an advertisement, and I think I died a little inside, so naturally I have to share it.

I think I'm fine with everything in that image except the myriad flappy pockets. The lapels are a bit unconventional, but at least they aren't notch... and I'm digging the link front.

A ticket pocket on a dinner jacket?!

Yeah, that's the one part I didn't like. I would not buy this jacket -- but if I had one made bespoke, I'd happily steal other styling cues from it.

If someone gave it to me, I would wear it out for drinks late at night with black jeans and Chelsea boots, but I'd no sooner wear it to a black-tie event than I would wear a safari jacket on a safari.

I'm with Adam. The ticket pocket and flaps are objectionable, but everything else looks pretty good. I suppose the ticket pocket is so offensive to you that you've labeled this an "abonimation," but I'd take this over any of the notch-lapel DJs that I've seen.

Maybe I overreacted, but it's just like they turned something really nice into something that is to me unusable for black tie events.

When would you guys ever wear it?
