I think that will work very well.Just ordered this as a Summer DJ with shawl lapel from the Piacenza Alashan Breeze book. Will probably do covered buttons in the same cloth; can always switch them out for Mother of Pearl down the road. If this performs anything like the sportcoat I got from this book a few months ago (same book, slightly different mix of cashmere/silk/linen), I’ll be thrilled. Cloth reads as a very light grey to me.

Without evidence, this smells like a troll post. Was just at a black tie wedding in North Carolina and was shocked to see that probably 95% of men were nailing the dress code. Everyone in black peak or shawl collar tuxes with bowties and studs. Really heartening to see!
Lol if it adds credence there were a lot of center vents and flap pockets. But given it’s 2024, I was still impressed.Without evidence, this smells like a troll post.
Even with this, the percentage of people in Perth Australia for a black tie event would be less than 5%.Lol if it adds credence there were a lot of center vents and flap pockets. But given it’s 2024, I was still impressed.
The video is private. What is the event name? I’ll look it up.Today's largest black tie event (16,000 attendees) at this link https://youtube.com/live/dHR1x2XMS48?si=J71lcDmf6g_5fcED. I attended it two years ago.
I didn't manage to embed the video.
The Sartorial Club (@the_sartorial_club) just released the official photos from its New York City meeting last month - my maiden voyage, and I am pleased with the quality of the photographs - Collis (@collistory), the photographer for the evening, captured everyone at their finest (indirect flash works wonders - direct flash makes everyone looked washed out, and, in my case, heavily wrinkled - I've been the victim of that numerous times). I've tried to include a number of group photos, in addition to those with myself or my husband in them, so that one could get a feel for the atmosphere of the party, held at the penthouse showroom for Cad and the Dandy here in NYC.
Please enjoy. I believe that the level of sartorial splendor that evening was fairly high, the theme being "creative black tie".
