  • Epaulet x Styleforum Alpine Loden Collection

Loden wool, woven in Tirol for centuries, is known for its resistance to cold and wetness. Our project in collaboration with Epaulet introduces Alpine Loden, a modern 18oz fabric blend of 75% merino wool and 25% nylon, woven in Italy. It's lighter, more durable, wind-resistant, and more comfortable than traditional Loden fabric. Partnering with Rochester Tailored Clothing, we offer custom garments like sportcoats, suits, and overcoats, made to your specifications. Learn more about the Loden collection here.

Hi
What was the ultimate (black) barathea fabric, I think said by @Despos ?
Browsing Dugdale now, but struggeling to choose the weight.

from my notes/tracking doc its Schofield and Smith 8930 (black) or 8929 (midnight). Both are 340g, and I believe they are 1% cashmere...

The barathea talk above has me thinking. When I ordered my tuxedo a while back, I didn’t really consider the weight of the fabric and went with this Scabal “Festival” barathea at 280g.

I am realizing now that it might be on the light side. It drapes well and looks okay but, of course, I’m wondering if I should go heavier in the near future.

It does not seem like Shofield has the recommended cloth anymore. As I would like to have something 13oz +, I am considering Dugdale 8731 or 8736 now. Just afraid 8731 might be an overkill with its 450gr. I live in Norway, but heating and insulation have settled here long time ago

Anything from Dormeuil's Formal bunch will serve you well. Also Harrison's Formal bunch.

Tux - No Man Walks Alone x Sartoria Carrara
Shirt - The Armoury x 100Hands
Bowtie & Cummerbund - Sam Hober
Braces - Thurston
Cufflinks - Codis Maya
Shoes - my good ol' Allen Edmonds (although I may spring for patent leather or maybe a belgian loafer depending on how often I break the whole outfit out)
