First ave should've been a standard offering, in both shell and calf. I love my tan grain pair, although it needs some TLC (or perhaps recrafting) at this point. Don't get why AE ever discontinued it. I'd consider a pair in burgundy cordovan if it were available.
Was just available though the trunk show.

AE Leeds. My first pair of shell via eBay. Any suggestions on dealing with the creasing? The last is wider than normal in the toe box for me.

What you point out is one of the things that attracts many shell lovers to the material. The rolls are more desirable to some than creases.

if you like shell, but want to minimize the rolling your only real option is to wear only shoes built on a last that is a bang on fit for your feet. Otherwise, the shell will reveal where the shoe does not fit as well as it could.

Agree with @M635Guy, et al, rolls are normal. The shell looks thirsty to me, though. I would hit them with Bick4 once or twice. Then with VSC to bring them to a low luster to let the shell undertones out. They are beautiful shoes. Wish that 511 last was better on my feet.
