Shell cordovan isn't skin, so there shouldn't be any texture (unless they applied it). That grain looks more like bull-hide/oxhide. Also, it looks like it's a padded/stuffed tongue, and I've never seen that on shell - it's just not structured like that.Please remove my post if in wrong thread but:
