Wow. That's not something you see ever day. What's the story with the shell? Is this hand dyed shell or shaved/marbled/whatever shell?

I’ll quote the manufacturer rather than freestyle! I thought they looked interesting and would be a nice option in my wardrobe. I’ve never bought Meermin before and know they have a rep for being hard to break in. I’ve heard talk of QC issues, too, but my first impression of these is highly favourable. For the price, quite something.

So it's similar to Horween's shaved shell but from Rocado. Thanks. Is it just the pic or do they have a slight purple hue?

Anyone have any well worn horween dark cognac shoes/boots, I’m well versed with the color 8 aging/lightening but I was curious if the dark brown also lightens over time and what that looks like.
