I just bought 2 pairs, and will probably buy 2 more tomorrow.
It’s a combo of using Shikini shell instead of Horween, and making them in China.
My guess would be if they used Shikini and constructed them in Spain/Portugal the cost would be $750, if they used Horween and constructed in the home country the cost would probably be $1,000.

I don't even want to know what you have to do to make a cordovan boot this cheap

How do you know it is Shinki? In fact it says American shells.

I believe they only use the Shinkini. But I may be incorrect.

No, they use at least 4 different tanneries for their shell offerings. THis is the second time they used "undisclosed" shell
