Good God, what a thread! I feel compelled to join in with a cross-post:
Mid-brown shell cordovan penny loafers with Norvegese stitching, heavy welts, double oak soles, split toe and a suprising hourglass stiching on the penny strap.

You KNOW I love Lattanzi Norvegese. As good as it gets in that stitch.

It gets worse, let me tell you...
NOS Florsheim, gone to Japan.

I saved these pics for future reference, as I had missed them when you had for sale. I wish I had a chance to see 'em in person, as they are incredible!

UrbanComposition: I bought two pairs of these Duckie Brown for Florsheim shoes. Both were of Horween shell cordovan, but made in India -- and boy did it show. The lasting was extremely poor with visible bubbles on both uppers. Both pairs reeked of chrome-tanned inner leathers and soles. Avoid at all costs.

This was my second pair. First pair had issues with the leather and lasting issues just llike vraivio mentioned. The second pair I purchased was much much better. Plus I got them for $300 new so for Ravello it's a killer deal. Iove the last. Much sleeker than barrie

^That's true about the last: much more contoured than Barrie, which I happen to loathe. If only Florsheim would take to making proper shoes like they used to, with solid soles, un-aging grained calf uppers and proud American handwork. Their superb NOS and vintage pairs won't be around forever.
