Mahogany is a medium brown shade of shell, so I think you'd definitely see a distinction. Only you can decide if you'd rather try out a different leather or if the attributes of shell are what you are after. You could also try some kind of horse butt (not sure what maker you are using)
Thanks for the advice. That is what I thought too. I am getting from Enzo Bonafe made on Horween cordovan.

Much appreciated! It looks so nice. Is the shaft of elephant leather? Good choice.

I actually got some swatches from Shopmehra. But the small samples cannot justify the beauty of mahogany shell.
No, it's printed mahogany shell. The vamp is smooth and the shaft has a big grain pattern.

Details on the trousers?

Spier Mackay Donegal
After seeing the collection of @stephenaf2003, I have obtained color 4, bourbon, dark cognac shell boots. I am seeking advice on whether mahogany shell will make a distinction between these 3? I wonder if I should go for chromexcel, Dublin or other leathers with a similar color for a lower price. But, based on pictures, mahogany shell seems to have unique shade.
Like the very wise @jischwar ssid, it’s ultimately up to you what direction you want to go. I’m not one to ask because I’m going to say, yes to all of the choices you mentioned. For me EB’s mahogany is something special though.

First time know the printed cordovan leather, looks really interesting!

It is gonna be my “silent battle” for some time then.

I know for a fact that you had the nicest shoes in the courtroom.
They never made it to the courtroom. I arrived a few minutes late for the check in and they already had enough people for the jury pool. I got credit for service and excused to go home. I have done my duty in the past, served on 2 juries and sat through 3 days of jury selection for a murder trial. Barely escaped that one.
