CALLING ON HOME SEWERS TO HELP HEALTHCARE WORKERS FIGHTING COVID-19
The lack of proper masks, gowns, and eyewear equipment is making it difficult for health workers to do their work fighting the novel coronavirus. In a recent New York Times article, medical workers said they were worried about how they can both fight the coronavirus without imperiling themselves, as well as their loved ones when they go back home.
If you are a home sewer, please consider helping my joining Hickey Freman Technical Vice President Jeffery Diduch in his effort to produce and deliver homemade gowns and masks to medical professionals in the greater Rochester, New York Area. Read about how you can help here

great color! My Carmina color 4 U tip boot. As with my other Carmina MTOs, my inspirations were similar makeups from C&J and Alden. I wanted a mix of Galway 2 and @mdubs' wonderful black shell indy on Grant last. I think this has the robustness of the Galway 2 as well the refinement of Mike's Grant lasted Indy. Equally importantly the end result has unique Carmina aesthetics (taller shaft, 7 eyelets, raised heel counter), so the makeup doesn't feel like it's a clone.
One thing I would've changed on this makeup is the 4 eyelet/3 speedhook combination. I looked at these side by side next to my Amaretto NST boot (7 eyelets), and realized the balance is *much* better with all eyelets. Love the 5/4 and 4/4 combos on boots by the other makers, I feel this minor detail provides the right balance/proportion designwise.
