LOL, those pics are from the first time I wore them. I have no idea how it happened... guessing they may have been on display or something at some point. They were bought as NOS on the B&S, of course. They even came in the beat-up box with an original "care of shell cordovan" card... decades-old advice more or less mirroring the Mac Method. :slayer:

Those wingtips are my favorite non-Alden pair; they've only seen maybe 2-3 wears since I'd almost rather just look at them in the closet. Yes, I understand I may have a problem... ;)

These are shell? Regardless, they look awesome. Seem to have a vintage/old school flare to them. Who's the maker?

    John Lobb (St. James)

I wanted shell cordovan cap toes and couldn't find any, so I had Lobb make me some.

I've got some other non-Alden shell cordovans (Vass and Johnston and Murphy) but no pictures handy.

Nice. That was what actually first came to mind. Do you which shell cordovan color that it is or did you just request a deep chestnut?

I picked out the very piece of shell from their workshop that they made the shoes from. Didn't request a color. Just selected the material.

Fun! They turned out very well. Painfully classic which I love.

I don't have any more recent photos. These were all taken at the same time (right when I got the shoes.)
