Thanks! My enjoyment of them is in no way diminished by the show saurabh is putting on, but I acknowledge that it’s hard to give the two an equal number of likes - seems disproportionate.

....don’t tell me you’re gonna get all “shoe guy” on us now!

I love my boots. I have Alden, Vass, Bonafe, Carmina, AE boots. They’re all fab. But I’m definitely still a shoe guy. Wore my Vass suede budaoesters in a snowfall once just because I REALLY wanted to wear them LOL. That’s how you know.

Just like how only true boot guys will wear their dress boots in 90 degree heat and humidity when they should be in flip flops. Well, I suppose I’ve done that too....

lol...no, but I’m thinking I’ll need to add a pair or two of worthy shoes every now and again.

Yeah, I’m that boot guy that wears his boots year round. But, a true boot guy has more than just dress boots though..lol. Again, I’m from Texas sooo....

Ha! I am too. What part? San Antone here. Though a New Yorker for 17 years now.

I am in the market for a good pair of welted roper boots. Don’t know where to look to find proper fittings, though.

Btw, re-reading my post above makes it clear why I should not post after downing 4 Fat Tires...

Thanks Mike! The 65 isn’t always great for me but this pair fits extremely well - I’m hoping the result is close to your trademark lack of rolls...

lol..big D is my home town. I’ve been a Northern Virginia transplant for the past 25 yrs or so.

That doesn’t surprise me about cowboy boots in NY. Although, it’s been years since I had or wore a pair.

They have not been introduce to the shell guys yet. If you want to find easily "rare shell" start buying black.;)

    Hey Guys,

I am a newer member and wanted to share these links. I originally posted in AE MTO thread, and they thought I was spamming so I was redirected here.

I found these boots on sale currently made by FRYE as well as some PTBs. Currently on sale so I bit the bullet on the boots and want to share here just in case anyone is looking for a pair. Shell Cordovan is from Horween and they are good year welted. I personally don't own any shoes in this brand, mostly AE, Florsheim, Hannover but for the price, I think they're worth a try. Good luck to everyone.

Since I own a pair of Frye "James" PTB shoes, but not in shell, I can say that they are a very well-made shoe, and comfortable. They do run 1/2 size large. So either the blucher shoe or the boot is a solid deal for these shell models
    at these prices.

What surprises me is that neither of these retailers specifically says shell cordovan, not to speak of omitting mentioning Horween. No wonder they have to reduce them to half price!
