The Shell Cordovan, non-Alden Shoe and Boot Thread

    About a month ago I found an almost new pair like those that I gave to my brother-in-law. They were branded Brooks Brothers but were made by Alden. Like the pair you pictured they had the exposed eyelets, and did not have the storm welt. They had the original Alden sole with the inset rubber "keystone" heel.

    They were a 9D - too small for me but my brother in law was very thankful for the Christmas gift

    Here are a pair of 1971 Florsheim Imperial Plain Toe Bluchers with the original v-cleat, nailed double outsole, and nailed heel - all which add towards the nearly 3.5 lbs of vintage American manufacturing.
