1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Thanks for the photo praise! The Dundee is the last AE left in my collection and it's a hell of a boot.

I would concur with @jet-stream. Shoes look great but I also thought it was an amazing photo. Stared at it for at least 30 seconds.

@Burzan has been killing it with his IG photos. He's got a great eye and access to fantastic lighting!

I wonder what ever happened to that Sartorial Sketches guy.

Not gonna lie, the pics made me up my best offer for a pair on ebay. i had previously eliminated all AE from the collections, but these had to be added

I took the plunge and ordered their LWB caramel shell a week ago. As many shoes as I have I do not foresee a resole for a long time to come but if need be I'll just send them to them. I am however anxious to see the fit and finish. The 30 days to complete seems a long ways off…

    Thanks everyone!

Haha my boardroom has premo lighting.

The sketches were getting too time consuming to come up with daily posts in my work downtime. If I revisit it I'd like to find an easier way of doing it. Sketching on an iPad or touchscreen of some sort. We'll see.

I oredered the caramel PTB'S and while i am generally very tolerant of imperfection, I was so displeased with these that I decided this am to send them back for additional refinishing. They look like unfinished natural shell. Not even close to the images on their website. Rather than to muck up this thread, feel free to check the rancourt thread and you will see the discussion with pic's.

The C&J Whiskey "Marlow PTB"/Grasmere GMTO is in! Took a few quick photos this afternoon. Lighting wasn't great - they look a bit darker in the photos then they actually are. Love the color and last.

    Whoa, those are beautiful @erikw.

Don't recall the color Mike, but those strands are pretty slick as well.

The only thing similar I know of (I am certainly do not know everything) is a blue CXL offered by Alden. That particular make up can be found at http://brickmortarseattle.com/shoes.html. They are the Navy CXL. I do not know where one would find blue shell.

As far as I know you would have to do MTO through Carmina or CJ for navy shell. Or trickers.
