Watchman1, those are really nice. Do they have the polo name on the soles? Wonder if they were made around the time the Brownvellos were being produced. Dang, they're probably my size.

H516, those are shell. Not sure about pricing, particularly for odd sizes, but I'm guessing they would sell for somewhere between $60 to $125 on Ebay if they aren't cracking. They might sit for awhile before selling. Even if they were my size I would be hesitant to pay more than $60 and probably wouldn't bid at all because the back of the heels look torn up, but perhaps others are less picky.

I'm inclined to agree, it seems more like a collector's item than anything else!
Those soles look ridiculously thick -- like even thicker than normal double oaks. Can't tell if it's the pic or actually different.

Yes Sir,

They have the Polo name on the soles. They are beauties for sure. I had to let them go unfortunately.

Thanks.

some before/after of the crockett and jones shell cordovan wingtips i left out in the sun for months before:
1400
after:
1600
hit them with some venetian before leaving them out in the sun. 3 months later the shell feels soft and lush, stillthe look perfect now and are a nice complement to the darker lindrick boot.
Excuse me for pulling up an old post... but does anyone else do this with their shells? Last summer I left a pair of vintage Florsheims out in the sun for almost a month. They developed a really vibrant, almost cherry, color. AHS

No...I just wear mine for a few years and then they look even better than that.

Wear them a few decades and they'll look even even better...
