    Cool sneakers. My vote for low profile.

    Can somebody sell me on shell cordovan? Besides the different leather and substituting rolls for creases, any other advantages?

    I prefer shell cordovan because of how the patina develops - both quickly and over long periods of time.

    Purchased a pair of vintage Florsheim longwings on eBay the other day. Here is a before photo coupled with one 24 hours later. My office smells like Lexol and VSC again!

    Congrats. Those look great. Stitching on the welt is nice. I had a pair of Florsheim shell LWBs that I sold due to fit, but they're fantastic shoes.

    I'd suggest perhaps a quick coat of edge dressing (I find Allen Edmonds Chili edge dressing to be perfect for most mid/dark brown shoes).

    Thanks! These are on the 40 last, which runs true to size in my case.

    That's great. I'm working on getting a pair of the fleming chukka in Mahogany on the 40 last. I like the short, round look over the longer 42 last.

    Second wearing for my first shell cordovans: Allen Edmonds Dundee Chukkas in dark brown. I'd been checking out people's shells on this and other threads for a while now and decided to treat myself to a pair for my birthday . Really enjoying these so far! Cheers

    You seem to have a great relationship with Ron, as he looks to have hooked you up with the very rarest of rare shell specimens. These are awesome, btw!

    @mdubs

    Congrats brother. I was wondering how long you would be able to resist some of the Non-Alden offerings.

    How would you rate the overall quality of those?

    Thanks.

    Lovely. I especially like the muted whiskey color compared to the bright yellow variants.
