1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Cote d'Ivoire is no "sentimental" favourite - They've got the reigning Golden Boot winner from the EPL, Didier Drogba, the Toure brothers from Barca and Man City respectively, and a host of other quality players like Emmanuel Eboue, Didier Zokora, Solomon Kalou and Bakari Kone. Not to mention, they also have a top line international manager in Sven-Goran Eriksson

A lot of people have Brazil and Portugal booked to make it out of that group, but personally, my money is on Brazil and the Ivory Coast making it out.

Just sentimental for me. I have something in common with Eriksson.[IMG]

I am by the way also thinking / hoping that Brazil will go all the way. The Dutch and Argentina be damned! [IMG]

    Alright, I'm in.

Just checked out Spain's squad and one word comes to mind...DAMN!

I'll be rooting for the U.S. (fat chance), but honestly I just want to watch every single game I can. So excited for this to start!!!!

Anyone else play FIFA Ultimate Team on XBox live? I don't normally play video games but I got addicted to this. Basically you start with crap and have to get coins to trade for players. I.E. buy guys low and sell for more to make a profit. Anyways, my squad looks like this so far running a 4-4-2:

    Manager: Wenger
    GK:Cech
    LB: Evra
    CB: Puyol
    CB: Lucio
    RB: Maicon
    LM: Henry
    CM: Ibrahimovic
    CM: Kaka
    RM: Zarate
    ST: Rooney
    ST: Eto'o

    Bench
    GK: Howard
    Def:Taiwo, Gallas, Kompany, Cordova, Sagna
    Mid:Xavi, Fabregas, Ribery
    ST: Drogba, Agbonlahor, Benzema

Will be getting Messi to replace Zarate and Julio Cesar to replace Cech in the next day or two and still figuring out who else I want.

    Addicting!!!

Competition looks soft so far. Shouldn't be too hard to win this World Cup. [IMG]

    1) Can we pin this?

    2) Why can't I view other players' picks?

Any recommendations for a reliable online source to buy an Oranje World Cup jersey (in US)? Thanks.

Thanks, did check the Nike site. Interested in a long sleeve jersey. I will settle on a short sleeve one if I can not get a long one. Regards.

I don't think there is a long sleeve version, here's the short sleeve one:

(Unfortunately, I won't win the pool, unless pigs learn to fly.)
