I can definitely try it out and i think your translations are helpful ... but i feel most people would be more into it, if it was in English.

    I know i know ... screw English!

I understand, nii. No problem. I´m totally fine with an English pool.

oh, i like the idea of the pool winner getting a pair of paprikas.

NOBD, Trini do y'all here that? Meet me in the WC pool thread [IMG] [IMG]

Present. That's very kind of dear fritzl. (Work on the suede!)

I'll throw in a handmade boutonniere.

I think it sounds fun but English is a must.

Good. That's perfectly fine with me. Let's forget about the Dutch pool. It is the only one I have experience with, so maybe someone else can decide which English pool to use.

Question: why is the word "Pool" spelled out in the thread title?

I thought I needed a spelled-out beginning and end, to embrace the middle part.

    Are you in, gdl?

I'll probably sign up for this sometime.

Can't wait for the World Cup. Placed a small parlay bet a few weeks ago on the first games in anticipation.

    France to beat Uruguay
    Argentina to beat Nigeria
    Germany to beat Australia
    Cameroon to beat Japan
    Italy to beat Paraguay
Brazil vs Korea over 3 goals
    Spain to beat Switzerland

    $10 to win $943.87

Can't wait to watch the games.

    I am in.

To make it more language friendly, I suggest using Yahoo here:

    http://uk.wc.fantasysports.yahoo.com/world-cup

I have set up a league with the name SF MC FIFA WC FB 2010 SA Pool

You should click on "join a group"
    The group ID# is 8618
When asked for a password, please type in: outback miners

You need to have a yahoo login for this.
When starting to play you are asked to create a set of predictions.
Under Set of Predictions Name, chose your SF name, not your yahoo login. We need to recognise each other by name.

    Hope this is satisfactory?

Excellent! That makes us a league of 4 players so far.

Unfortunately, my team is not represented in this World Cup so I am picking some sentimental favourites with Cote d'Ivoire pretty high up there.
