(Cross-posted in General Chat)

Ok, so here's the story. I'm dying to make it to the Collection of Sartorial Excellence in NYC this coming March. It's always nice to attach names to faces, and I'm dying to meet Kabbaz just to see if he's real.

The hook: I'm a college student. Ergo, I'm broke. I can't fit the $140 or so it costs for a round-trip plane ticket into my meager budget at the moment, and I don't think I'll be able to anytime in the foreseeable future.

So, I'm asking for you guys to help me out. Chip in a buck, five bucks, whatever you think is appropriate. Every penny helps a lot.

PayPal address is: [email protected]. I'd set up a donation account, but I don't know how.

Thanks gents,
Mike

Yeah start out with a Pantherella sock or something and end up in a Kiton suit

Guys please note: Connemara has his ticket. Donations would be superfluous.

Mr. Kabbaz,

What a remarkably gracious gentleman you are. Rare virtues.

Enjoy the CSE Connemara!

I've got something out of this thread. I'm going to borrow the following quote from globetrotter and use it for a sig for a while.

What a wonderfully kind gesture Alex. Even though I'm not the beneficiary, I appreciate your generosity (then again, I read somwhere that you charge 1,000 per shirt these days -- 3 cents for the paper on which you take the measurements and 999.97 for the experience. With that kind of margin, this is nothing but a wisp on the wing.).
