I'm a big fan of the WvG u-necks (although I'm partial to WvG in general). I think someone said they found the sleeves too short and slim, but they work for me. Probably my favorite fabric ever. http://www.wolfvsgoat.com/collections/tees

Lone Flag also has an in-house line of tees. I wish the neckline was maybe an inch lower, but overall they're not bad. They have a couple of colors (I think all variations on white, black, and grey). http://loneflag.co/products/lone-flag-basic-form-fit-heather-gray

I randomly found a couple of Asos-brand tees that were ok, but generally speaking their quality is awful and it's kind of random what you're going to end up with when you order from them (two shirts of the same model in different colors could fit totally differently).
If only WVG did a black u-neck. Cuz I've been waiting for like two years :p

Those Lone Flag shirts look nice but $45 a shirt; yeesh, probably would just buy JE at that point.

I'm exchanging the DSTLD tees for the new batch with the "updated" fit and will follow up if they're any good. Free returns so nothing to lose.

First one looks cool, any info on the brand/quality etc?

That AA is mega slutty, I think the neckline is too wide...

Borderline stripping there :)

Doesn't look gay at all. Looks incredibly masculine wow. :foo:

I'm resurrecting this glorious thread to inquire into tank top recommendations. Let's hear them.

I'm partial to the WvG bamboo-sorona tanks and JE cotton-modal curve hem tanks. The former are softer and cost less. There haven't been a ton of either made AFAIK. Hopefully there'll be more of both this summer.

Ok, I"m going to look into those for sure. Thanks. Any thoughts on the Uniqlo AIRism ones?

I wear the mesh ones when I go running in hot weather. They breathe really nicely but tend to smell kind of terrible after a long run. They look more like gym clothes than regular clothes IMO.

Yeah, I was thinking of picking one up and just using it while running if need be. I was looking at the John Elliot ones, which look pretty great. It seems that, with American Apparel morphing into whatever it currently is, there's not much out there in the way of slutty t-shirts?

AA hasn't brought back their surprisingly nice but cringe-worthingly named sexuali-tee, so my day-to-day has basically been WvG and JE. Every once in a while H&M will come out with something. I haven't tried out Plain Tee Co, but their product photography is pretty awful.

I see what you mean about the Plain Tee photos; however, they seem like they may be pretty nice, at a decent price. I'm probably going to grab one, and will report back when I get it.

I was looking around for the sexuali-tees after re-reading this thread the other day.

Which of the WvG tees are you into?

I'd probably be a medium in the tanks and tees. I appreciate the recommendation, thanks.

It depends for the tanks. If you're wearing them alone, TTS gives you a drapey, relaxed fit, but if you're layering under a tee, going down a size can also work.

I own some in M and a couple in S. I don't think I'd wear the smalls on their own, but they're a good base later.

Grana u-necks, especially the new batch is my go to so far.
