It actually turned out to be quite easy: go to the main page of the forum where you want to start a thread (e.g., https://www.styleforum.net/forums/classic-menswear.5/) and you'll see a button just above the forum's banner image labeled "Post Thread". Click that, give the thread a title, and make the first post. Done.

Strawfut, Brown and Linen, 9D. Have only worn 5 or 6 times since new. Have old red AE bags, no box or trees. Asking $200 shipping CONUS only, via USPS. These have been stored with trees in them, but I'm keeping the trees. PM if interested and thanks for looking.

I just realized that posting a pair of USED (although not very often or heavily) shoes a few days before a rumored AE Trunk Show, was probably not a great idea. So in the effort to move the Strawfuts off the shelf, I'm lowering the price by $50.

Selling a pair of Merlot Hopkinsons, 11D. These were purchased from the eBay seller many I f us frequent and are stamped no warranty - based on the soles when I got them they were worn for less than a full day and returned to the store.

They were a go-to shoe for me but were always a bit too big (on the 201, which is great for me in boots but a bit too generous in oxfords). I refinished the edges a while ago and never got them back in the rotation - fit is king and all that. Time to move them. The heels show some wear but have 70%+ of their life yet. The soles are 90%+ - Independence soles are fantastic. The leather is buttery soft and the color is perfect (my favorite calf color AE has ever offered). Asking $100 shipped to CONUS, using PayPal F&F.

One other note - the right toe cap isn’t quite straight. This never bothered me in practice, and I don’t think anyone on SF ever noticed, but it surprised me when I got them and I want to make sure it doesn’t surprise the next owner:

Also for sale: a pair of AE Shaker Heights in chili, 11D. These were purchased from the original owner on eBay after he purchased them as 1sts. He claimed he wore them 2-3 times, and I saw no evidence to dispute that. I wore them three times, for a half day or less each.

These are chili color (original chili, not dark chili) with Harris tweed; the tweed has some great color woven in. They are in excellent shape, with 95%+ of life on the soles and heels left. There is a faint impression in the footbed but it’s not heavily formed to the touch. Asking $175 shipped to CONUS, using PayPal F&F.

One note: the 73 is a difficult last to fit. I’m on the lower side if 11D and these were too snug for me; I found some in 11.5D and they were much better. Thus, I’d recommend for those who are 10.5D or possibly 11C - but please be aware of your sizing (YMMV).
