When did it become a hallmark of Napoli style to leave your shirt cuff unbuttoned?

    Does foo do this now?

I'm waiting for the next evolution in Napoli style - pants unbuttoned.

The unbuttoning of the shirt to the navel is patently fucking absurd and ridiculous.
It's to show more of the Neapolitan hirsuit. We have no doubt about this one ... it is definitely bespoke by Rubinacci.

However, I fully approve of Luca making his broad walk behind him. Smartly done.

I'd like to see her navel.

Lapo Elkann, Lino and Gianpaolo of Al Bazar, and many others have been unbuttoning shirt cuffs for years:

I really like doing this as well. It makes the suit/sportcoat look more relaxed, and, most importantly, solves the cuff + wristwatch problem.

IMO, the chief reason that many unbutton their cuffs lies at the amount of accessories they wear on their wrists, which seems to be extremely popular in Italy nowadays.

Yup. Bead, metal and woven bracelets have become huge there. Ex. A, Gianpaolo of Al Bazar:

It's also a summer thing. Double cuffs wear very, very hot. Buttoned single cuffs wear somewhat hot. Unbuttoned cuffs provide awesome ventilation. So it's a natural choice when it's sweltering out.

I used to unbutton my shirt cuffs when worn under my school blazer, all the lads did. It's nothing new.

I still do it in summer ... with my odd coats.

With the unbuttoned shirt cuff and open surgeon cuff, when does "sprezzatura" become just plain sloppiness?
