The lower roll works well, but I'm curious if they made it with the option to button it at the middle? Mine is supposed to be buttonable at both middle and bottom points, but looks better at the middle. You can tell by the way they finished the edge seam.

From what I can tell, mine as well.

It's rare that at a DB looks equally good at either button point. You see references to this in the literature all the time, as if it is a standard thing, but most work better one way or the other. I have had one or two that really were interchangeable, but that seemed to be a matter of luck.

As a general matter, if the roll is high and meant for the middle, it will look worse buttoned at the bottom than a coat on which the roll is lower when buttoned at the middle. So if you want one of these by design, opt for the lower roll (so long as it's simply rolled low but not cut low).

Back from London and have returned with various goods from Rubinacci. I'm going to try to find some time tonight to take photos. Everything came out great.

It's funny, I really like the top combo of guncheck, bengal stripe and black tie. Too bad those "wings" are just hideous.

Looking forward to seeing the new goods, whnay.

Am I the only one who is reminded of that "small hands" Burger King commercial guy?

The only thing more disturbing than the shoulders on his jacket are his weird proportions.

the problem with the top, along with the wings, is that it is a suit.

whnay, rubinacci in london? is that where your suits get made or do you go to Naples?
