Look what you made me do it Wurger. I never wanted to contribute to this thread but I noticed that you are missing a pair of Church's Consul I would strongly recommend that you add that to you arsenal especially since the consul is sold by Herring and there is 10%-15% discount every once in a while.

The pictures are little crappy but I really wanted to showcase the soles. These are built with Church's very thin rubber soles but the heels are made in leather/rubber top-lift combination just like the regular shoes. I think this one of the nicest combination out there. You get traction but without that loud noise that full rubber heels make. In addition I find more trying and painful to walk on full rubber heels. Maybe it is just my body and the way I walk. I have a pair of Church's Chelsea boots and these are built with the same rubber soles but with full rubber heels. I am much more comfortable in Consuls which have combination leather/rubber top-lift heel.

The only thing I fault Church's is that they are using very short sock liner that it rubs just bellow my heel. In addition this sock liner peels easily which is especially annoying in Chelsea boots.

Anyways here are links for the shoes and some pictures. Consul is on 173 last and Ely is on 138 last. They fit the same or I take the same size I should say.

Cross Post from the Allen Edmonds Thread:

Allen Edmonds Harrison MTO in Black Shell Cordovan

I finally got my MTO Harrison's. I changed the higher end and more stylish Harrison to have the Black Shell Cordovan leather. It uses their newer 333 last, which is sleeker and longer. Also, has some refinements typical of their Independence Collection, such as rolled edges, fancier sole, and lambskin lining.

Tell me your thoughts!

Thanks,
Mike

Mike,

They look absolutely exquisite.

Very smart choice with the cordovan. It makes them look beautifully smooth and very well rounded.

Finally I can see a pair of AE Harrisions in normal photos, they look wonderful! much better than PAs.
Totally agree! One of the better lasts AE has. Time for me to post my standard black balmoral captoe:
