1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Great stuff as everyone has said. I might actually have to go to this at some point so it is good to get an idea of the experience :).

So, Paris next? Make it happen :slayer:

Whoever it was responsible for Synth's posting at Pitti deserves serious commendations for possibly the most glorious moment in SF history.

Also, was anyone else half expecting that night of drinking between Synth and Stephanie to turn romantic at any moment? Maybe it's off the record

Yeah. She's probably going to hunt you down and send your skin to Drew Keith so he can make a one-off ToJ reedo-leather girlfriend double rider all for that comment.

Would someone please make a set of Pitti trading cards? You can do a different set every year and have stats on the back. Maybe some all star cards like, for example, Nick Wooster in different poses. Some duet cards where a favorite shopkeeper has a solo card but also shows up standing next to a blogger. If you give Compton a few packs and put his picture in them, you can probably get a nice promotional writeup. I think this is a decent real business. Surely every blogger will buy a few packs. Especially if they think they might be in the pack.
I would buy a set. The Armoury might buy a few hundred to give out to customers or use as scotch coasters.

Synth should do a "What is Pitti wearing" along with a story for each person.

This feature would consist only of the greatest "peacockers", of course.

For it to be truly timeless, we first need a group of archetypes, and the cast of real life characters to fill the roles, from Vox the has-never-been mocked and scoffed to the blogger in chief to Simon Frasi the most photographed retailer. Then copyrights, etc...

As long as I'm forever immortalized in one of Synth's legendary ToJ product reviews, I'm ok with it
