About the same as chucks, in my experience.

Quality is a step above chucks but that isnt saying much really... and of course they're a lot more roomy and comfortable to boot.

Any idea what sites to look out for in trying to find sales? I'd like to get the Albins, but $77 (lowest price) is still a little too much for me.

I got to disagree, No.5 just ain't a good pair fo shoes at all........it has like zero reinforcement in the heel area, and the shoes really lost its shape when you wear it a few times.

What do you guys think about the Albin in terms of comfort/quality? How is the arch support? That's the shoe I'm interested in. Also, which model of the Albin would you guys recommend? I really like the look of this leather version. But unless I find a good sale, it's a little too priced for my tastes. This other leather version is cheaper, but it looks sort of douchey. Alternatively, canvas might be better for summer-wear, but I probably will wear these the most when I start college in the fall anyway. Thoughts?

Neeto thread.

I have:
Navy Center Lo's (didn't like as much as I hoped; the amount of rubber compared to the amount of canvas seems slightly out of wack; they almost look kinda feminine...)
Black Cousy Hi's (awesome)
Leather Center Hi Black (super mega awesome).

I'm normally a 9.5 and I've been buying PF's in 10 and they fit great. I threw grey laces on the Cousy's and I took the Cousy's original black laces and put them on the Leather Center Hi's... Both the hi tops I bought, I bought in lieu of Chucks. I barely wear the leathers; they look so rad but don't wanna scuff them up all quick =\\

FWIW, both pairs those hi tops I bought earlier this year, I think they are BOTH on 6pm now; I think where I paid about $70 for each pair they are now somewhere in the $40 range. (EDIT: They are $49)

Also, I don't know if this is common knowledge but in both my pairs of Centers, with the removeable insole, there was a 'fortune' or somesuch, printed on a little square of green canvas. I think it's basically their QC mark, to have someone put those in there. Has anyone else found one of those things?

****! The Albin I wanted is out of stock in my size on both Zappos and 6pm - the only websites that carry them at a reasonable price.

They have this Albin in my size, but I'm not sure what I think about the leather texture. Does it look too... shiny?

What do you guys think?

And for the shiny PF flyers, the gloss does die down. One of my friend has the crinkle purple shoes and the gloss doesn't emit douche-ness.

Yeah, but these other Albins look sort of like snakeskin. Not sure about that.

I just discovered that Amazon carries the wrinkled leather - what I originally wanted - in my size, but they are $90 (as opposed to the $77 on 6pm - which doesn't carry my size). I'm weary about spending that much on sneakers.

Guys, don't try ordering the wrinkled leather Albins from Amazon. It shoes up that they have them in stock, but they end up sending you the other Albin with the snakeskin-looking leather.

Any other ideas for picking up the wrinkled black leather Albins? I can't find them anywhere online.
