A overcoat that I found in a vintage shop in Paris last year. The fabric weight is an estimated 700 - 800 grams. I love the silhouette and especially the unique wide collar.

Best regards

Probably my "final" coat collection. It's winter here 8 months of the year, so coats are important. Might as well be cold in style.

Variety of different cuts, silhouettes, shapes, lengths. I err towards oversized/too big though. I've gained 25 lbs in a year so I enjoy the leeway.

Vtg 50s(60s?) Raglan coat. Love the mottled effect. Lightweight and spongey

Polo coat, Marling & Evans wool fabric. The massive skirt is my favourite and looks great when walking.

Replica Max Mara women's teddy coat. Unfortunately too slim to button up, so I just wear it open, looks better that way anyway.

Beams patchwork corduroy raglan.

Vtg 80s RL polo coat. Why 2 camel coats? Different shape/cut/length.

Awesome collection!

On that PRL line I fixed the buttons on mine. Looks much better and this is just a sweater under it.

Wow, that's a cool set of overcoats! Do you manage to wear them all during those 8 months? My driving to work reduces the number of coats I wear to only 1 in 5.

Awesome collection, online or local thrifting? I’m like US36, other than surplus stuff feels harder to see stuff in my size

A nice collection. Pretty fond of that teddy coat, I think it suits well your style.

By the way, there isn't something like final in clothing. ;)

How many overcoats do people own, I wonder?

I've just taken stock of my own, and I have seven full overcoats. This is only the number of classic wool overcoats, however. If I were to include duffle coats, raincoats, shearlings, and some "in betweeners," the number is more like fifteen. I have decided that this is too many. They are getting too powerful.

I mean if you can fit a coat under it isn't it an overcoat?

For context I think I have like 8 including Barbour and rain coats.

I suppose so. It's a bit difficult for me to imagine a duffle coat as a serious garment. It's too... happy-go-lucky when I wear it.

I struggle to imagine a lifestyle for myself that includes the necessity of owning more than, say, ten overcoats of varying types, and yet here we are. I'd go live in a madhouse, but we've eliminated those out of kindness to people with too many overcoats.

I own at lest 30, including a few trench coats. And that's after I sold at least 10 this season 😱
I want to sell at least 10 more and
I plan to buy a few more - particularly short and light car coats as it is quite uncomfortable with long coats to ride in a cabs

I agree with you. I know the prevailing opinion is that long coats = better, and I agree they look cooler, but they are hella impractical if you travel by car often. Nice to have both options.
