Where in NYC might I buy, or from which tailor might I commission, a camel-colored double-breasted polo coat with turn-back cuffs, patch pockets, and an ulster/stand-up collar? The closest I can get is J Press, but it doesn't have the ulster collar. Online also works too. I'd usually go for Spier & Mackay but their model this year has a few too many details.
Another facet it nails: no darts!![]()

They can also custom make you one if your size is sold out and they have NYC trunk shows. I own this coat and it is amazing
Not mistaken...that detail looks horrible.Would I be mistaken in claiming that the embroidered sprat’s head was somewhat bothersome to my sensibilities?![]()

Low armholes are a huge no for me, so I'd send it back. Depends entirely on how particular you are about that specific aspect of fit though.I just received this raglan coat in grey herringbone tweed by Berg&Berg. I bought a size 52, while I usually buy a size 50. My size was already sold out. It's a nice fabric but I'm afraid the coat is too big for me. It feels kind of restrictive when I move my arms up. I think the armholes are too large for me. Should I send the coat back or keep it?... I'm wearing a shetland sweater under the coat and that's what I plan on wearing the most with this coat.
From a geometric standpoint, the pivot point is not perfectly aligned with the shoulder. Since you mentioned it's too big, the misalignment could cause added resistance to movement, which I find quite bothersome. If you have doubts I would send it back.I just received this raglan coat in grey herringbone tweed by Berg&Berg. I bought a size 52, while I usually buy a size 50. My size was already sold out. Exactly. I couldn't figure out a nice way of saying it...you did wellLooks like a... well... embroidery of the wearer's anatomy just a few inches removed.
