Please tell me if I´m summing this up correctly: SG produced at least two types of chambray. One was a 100 per cent version that was woven on old looms and can be easily identified because it is about 36 inches wide. The other version is probably an 80/20 blend that is woven on modern looms and may have been outsourced to other facilities in France or Belgium. This second version is of standard width. Is that right?

Regarding the rougher, denim-like chambray, yes. There is also another, third variety. Modern-loomed, but much finer in weave and texture, and purportedly all cotton. That is the stuff I have and burned.

Excellent. And have you formed an opinion concerning the quality of this third version?

Still working on that,

Cool. Keep us informed. I think that I have a few lengths of what you have that I purchased from ASW but will have to confirm when I get home.

Great for one shirt but not OneShirt.

Extreme cutaways are limited in use.

Thoughts on this as a go to?

Years ago, Foo had lamented the downturn in Borrelli's quality in a detailed blog post (with pictures and a bit of righteous indignation). I wouldn't guess he's up for trying them again, but you never know.
