Alto Moncayo only does Grenache. 3 levels.

Damn, you're right. I was thinking of Bodegas El Nido that makes Clio and El Nido. As above, one is 70 Monestrell and 30 Cab and the El Nido is the inverse.

As I tell my wife when she says that: duh

The Alto Moncayo Omega Male posted is a real nice wine. Nice qpr IMO. And my recollection is that there is some Aussie connection so it’s a real ripe profile.

Yup, I have had their stuff too. I've been drinking a lot of Spanish wine for several years as the value is still there.

Argentina Malbec. Lakawa from a small, US based producer that happen to be our friends. Went with the homemade pizza perfectly.

Pizza crust: 2/3 cup heritage grain flour, 1/3 cup semonlina, 1 cup bread flower. Rolled out to a really thin, tasty, crust.

Toppings: Andouille sausage we made and smoked ourselves, caramelized onions, fresh mozz. and regular old pepperoni I julienned as well as chiffonaded basil we grew.

Think I'm supposed to not drink this anymore because they sold out or something, but it's still pretty tasty.

First glass of wine in two weeks because of a cold. Chartogne Taillet has become a house champ.

The ridiculous, unseasonal heat here has brought my pool -- which is usually a touch on the chilly side due to shading from our trees -- to precisely the 82F I prefer. Celebrating this by drinking champagne in it. An ill wind that blows nobody any good etc.
