Ahhhhh, the good ol days of being emotionally invested in Champions League. Nowadays, as an Arsenal fan, the midweek is a far more serene viewing experience.

What shaolin master is that from? It’s definitely not from iron man or supreme clientele.

The bird is on the smoker, after a rubdown with a pound of herb compound butter. Lunch in a few hours. Feels like time to pop some pinot.

Heavy Grenache and had it with the smoked salmon fillet I did on Sunday. Drinking incredibly right now. Pop 'em if you've got 'em.

The rocks Syrah proved too funky for the non wine people (In fairness, it is very funky) so I had to open more cab.

Still drinking fine but a little past peak. Very smooth, complex, but I felt the fruit was fading. Colour still vibrant but thinning at the meniscus. Also had a 2013 Linne Perfectionist and that was sipping perfectly.

Whiskies were really good to include a Highland Park Dark Origins and a Rabbit Hole bourbon finished in PX casks. Possibly the smoothest bourbon I've ever tasted.
