Needed some white for salmon yesterday and finished it off today. Good everyday white Bourgogne

Enz Vineyard was planted in the 1880s and the vines are dry farmed and own rooted. 100% whole cluster fermented with native yeasts and aged in neutral oak.

Went with the basic Meerlust red tonight. I don’t think I’ve had Cab Franc before but worth the $15 this bottle cost for something different than usual.

This was drinking well. A little salinity, some black olives, very smooth and plush.

I rather liked the Dickensian old label. Can see why they changed it when they decided to build a wider market brand, though.

This totally did not suck. Bright cherry, bacon fat, and that salty funk you sometimes get from a really great Syrah. Has another decade before it starts to feel its age.
