Reliably excellent. Would say I'm not certain the Reserve is necessarily worth the premium over the regular bottling, which I'm happy to drink anytime.

Ahhhhhh..... chateneuf du pape.... the cause of my life's greatest romance
I usually get a few cases. Pricing is much better and most BDX drinks well early if you’re not dealing with first growth. For 2019 I’ve grabbed half a case of Pontet Canet at $78 plus whatever the tariffs are at time of delivery. Can’t imagine it will be less than $175 at retail when it hits the shelves.Seems like you'd need a really deep cellar to want to want to buy BDX futures. I don't drink much BDX, but it seems like the only reason to buy futures would be to secure hard to source wines, or wines that sell and above release price, which isn't most of us here. Probably mostly restaurants and retailers/wholesalers purchasing futures?
Medium deep true red colour. Creamy red fruit nose with salty slate, licorice/fennel aspect that seems to be a signature Malgas character. Soft, juicy fruit palate envelops the substantial, concentrated structure. Drinking well now, but expect it to go on and on. Some nutty, spicy fruitcake on the mid-palate and a long, creamy finish. Best between 2017 and 2027.
