Oh hai. I had a Voigner, a Sea Smoke, and a DRC tonight. Add whisky, gin, bourbon, and I'm a contented person for a few minutes [IMG]

Was just an Oregon Pinot, Domaine something or other but was close enough that I was calling it DRC due to it's name. Was much funnier last night. [IMG]

Over the weekend, a 2007 Nelms Road cabernet. Woodward Canyon's second label, from Washington State. This is a great low key, laze around the house wine.

I'm working out third party shipping arrangements from CA to KY (that's Kentucky).

Am I taking an unreasonable risk to use ground shipping? If I go ground, which I suppose would mean 5-7 days, what time of year or general conditions would be best?

Air shipping is twice as much, so I'd rather avoid, but I am prepared to send the case by air if necessary.

I have wine shipped to Louisiana, typically from Nov-March and I've never had a problem.

Did a homemade soup tonight with some vegetable stock, some roasted chicken, brown rice, carrots and onions.

Opened up a bottle of 2007 Zind-Humbrecht Pinot d'Alsace. Yum. Luscious citrus. I almost get a bit of banana here. Good acidity and very balanced. Lots of depth to this wine. Love it.

Just got my Kosta Browne allocation. Four each RRV and Sonoma Coast. I wish listed another three pack of RRV.

Think it's too early to try an 08 KB RRV? I have some sleeping in the cellar right now [IMG]
