I have to get up at 5:00 am to fly to the festive Omicron super spreader event. Might as well feel like ****.

Acha Pinot is on Last Bottle for $16/btl. Solid deal for anyone wanting some. Looking for some Sandhi deals currently but haven't seen any for a while.

Might be a bit of an out there question - I frankly buy too much wine for someone who knows nothing about it, but maybe someone has a rec.

My daughter was born end of 2020. I'd like to buy a case or 2 of a birth year wine to cellar for her for later.

Anyone have a rec of something 2020 that A) will be decent put down for 18-20 years+ and B) is somewhat gettable.

Thanks!

Opened a 2019 Bernard-Bonin Intiales B.B. over the weekend, feeling gutted I didn't buy more from all of the Bernard-Bonin 2019 offerings I saw. I've heard of him described as the next Roulot - I don't know if I can say that from just a bourgogne blanc but it's special stuff, pricing is going to go through the roof down the line I bet.

my daughter was born in the beginning of 2020. Buying riesling and champagne and barolo when they're out. I'm going back and forth on bordeaux but didn't buy any futures. May dabble in some burgundy but she will have one hell of a collection by the time she's 21. My cellar is overflowing so I'm not as worried about the specific vintage for her.

I have drunk all the Numanthia Termes at the Atlanta hotel lobby bar and the friendly barman recommends a peen-yo noo-aar next. He is wearing a trucker hat and a heinous Christmas sweater. A gigantic African-American Santa just showed up. Is 5:30 too early to switch to scotch?

One of the best NV rosé champagne out there together with Billecart-Salmon AMD Ruinart in my opinion. Do you guys come to think of other stuff I forgot about? View attachment 1718000

Nicholas Maillart Rose or Benoit Marguet Shaman Rose might be the best in the price range. Also good are Laherte-Freres Rose de Meunier, Vilmart Cuvee Rubis, and Ployez-Jacquemart Rose. And if we're talking price and sourcing trouble and vintage/non-vintage out the window, I'll take Prevost Fac-Simile against the field.
