What varietal are people reaching for with their thanksgiving meal? I was thinking Pinot, but curious to hear other opinions.

Going NV Gruet sauvage for early drinking / mimosas. On the table for the meal doing 2012 les mesnil sublime for champagne, 2016 Christian Moreau les clos for chard and 2009 grand puy ducasse for red. Also scored some heady topper

Something that will please people who aren't really 'into' wine. So probably a riesling and a new world cab (or a zin)

ok, maybe I am going to change it up and try a cab. Although depends on what is consumed before, that will likely dictate what is consumed next and to level of the cellar we need to raid.
