I was not a big fan of their tasting room and they are way the hell out in BFE.

Yup. Also, the staff thought they were pouring DRC. It was actually a marginal experience until one of their marketing people showed up to VIP the somm/wine buyer we were with.

Hmm... sure you thinking about the right place? Tablas is right next to Halter, like 10 min from Turley, and on the same road as a bunch of other places. Justin is the one that’s all the way out in the damn mountains.

Been a few years so I might have the location mixed up. For sure it was Tablas though where the experience was meh prior to the marketing guy's arrival.

At Justin the staff was great. We had a retired dentist from Colorado helping us and he was awesome. Deep reserve tasting.

re-do on last Sunday’s corked bottle - this is awesome old school California cab
what is an old-school california cab? (I ask out of ignorance).

Has anyone had King Rabbit rose? Whole Foods has had it on sale for like eight bucks all summer. You know how rose's are supposed to just be good to drink? This is just good to drink. Also I've found fery quickly diminishing returns on more expensive rose.
