    Make sure to give particularly the SVDs some time to age. That Sonoma Coast 14 blend was just in the perfect place yesterday.

    The Eye-ties had over powered my palate at that point and I think if I was the host I'd not have popped those.

    It was a truly spectacular evening. We (my wife and another couple, he's a high end working somm) were guests in Paso of the owner/winemaker at Linne. One evening he had a catered dinner in his tasting room after hours for us and several of the local wine makers. They were all to bring their own library wines. Not Justin (Saxum.) He walked in with two bottles of SQN, one Syrah and one Grenache. I remember looking up the labels quickly and they were each $8-900 bottles.

    Like a boss.

    Speaking of Paso, I had a Quest blend from Austin Hope this past weekend. Was very good and about half the price of the Hope Cabernet.
