Well, I'm going to reserve a couple of bottles. See if they are worth the hype.

So much goodness arriving. Troken Spatlese? And I can't wait to have that Cornas over the Xmas break. Thinking braised ox tails to go with.

Found a whole case of the Canvasback WA cab I liked at the Duckhorn tasting a couple weeks back. Much more expensive than I’m used to, but it was a really, really good wine.

I went to a unique wine event last night in Paris. Taillevent hired Opera Garnier to present an "unknown" selection of their wines for sale. i had no idea what would happen. Thevent was quite something, with unlimited Champagne, and a selection of wines going back to the C19th for purchase.
I got some 1964 Alsace and 1985 Champagne, along with some older Bordeaux.
Though my budget did not stretch to 1911 Haut-Brion in my photo (1990 euro)!

My allocation of Sea Smoke was limited to 1. :( So much for the drink one hold one method.

Drink one, go on WineSearcher and pay a premium for another one.

Breaking in grand cru riedels. Just finished the Ehren Jordan episode of IDTT and it made me really want a ripe zinfandel.

Neat. I didn't know Jacquesson had vintage wines. I've only had the numbered ones from 734-739.

Now have one of each from a good local shop— which from 2015 would be a safer bet now? British

Open both, drink half of each and finish the rest tomorrow -- when they'll be better.
