1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Wow! Is there any possible way to have the lapels cut and re-shaped so they are smaller?

Inorite. There must be a way.

BTW this one was made in Canada for Barney's International House...which apparently has nothing to do with IHOP. [IMG]

Yes, though usually the lapel buttonhole is a problem. Those are so wide, though, the tailor might be able to cut them back to the other side of the hole and get away with it. The lapels might end up slightly on the narrow side, but not horribly so.

You don't say? Although, I'm guessing the trousers are of the bell bottom variety as well?

I was 5'8" in 9th grade. I was 144 lbs in 10th grade. By full size, I was 5'11", 165 and a 42R with tailoring necessary to take the waist into a 32.

I'm proud to say I'm still a 42R, but I plead the 5th on the remainder of the metrics.

This is fascinating, by the way.

Awesome vintage hand-tailored pants from 1956, tailored in Verona, Italy. Beautiful flannel fabric, double pleats, everything hand-sewn, button-fly.

    ^ Great pants, handwork everywhere!

I love this Vintage Burberry Polo Shirt Sweater. Tons of details, saddle shoulders and deep red buttons. The merino wool is soft and has a wonderful hand.

Chipp cashmere jackets. The plaid is labeled 100% cashmere. The striped one doesn't have the cashmere label, but its the same fabric (maybe ever more plush). The union label on the plaid is sewn in in such a way that I can't tell whether it has the registration R or not. Both would appear to be late 50s to early 70s. The plaid is a two button sack, the stripe is a 3/2 sack. Other than the lining separating in a couple places on the plaid, they're both in excellent condition.

If Mr. Winston is still checking the thread, perhaps he could give us a better idea on the age.
