X-Post from the WAYWRN page, since I hadn't seen this olive linen herringbone on here.

I like it. Should have straightened the knot. Doh.

The yellow stripe should work fine with a solid base/pattern and would make the whole outlook more striking with the stripe i guess. Maybe someone with the exact tie could chime in?

I've got the navy tie with the yellow double stripe (in fact, I've got their other versions with red and green double stripes, too).

It's a lovely tie. I tend to wear it mostly with sky blue shirts and mid-grey or charcoal suits. The shirts are either plain or have a mini-gingham check.

Does anyone know if Vanda ever produce cashmere or cashmere/wool ties?

yes they have. I love their wool ties. I think they will come back in a few months

Actually was hoping for cashmere. But I must say those wool winter special orders look nice.
Do you have any of them in 4/6 fold and care to comment/post some pics?

Lovely ties. I need some Vanda in my life.

Yeah, you'd probably really dig them.

Most of my Vanda ties are fine wool ties. A bunch of my recent pics with notes (click to enlarge):

Brown fancy wool from their original collection; fine enough to be worn with a suit.

A more recent "fancy wool" (brown-periwinkle) with tweed; always buy their "fancy wools." They're the best.

Green wool POW

Wool-silk woven flowers, again slightly more formal

Burnt orange POW; one of my favorites

Brown-black wool crepe

Blue donegal 2.0

H&S wool gunclub

As to 4 vs 6 fold, I've talked with Gerald and Diana about this, and they choose the construction that suits the fabric best. The Navy Donegal is really thick, for instance, so in order not to have the knot be excessively fat, they do a four-fold construction with a very light lining. I'd trust them. I know a thing or two about ties, but they're experts and have great taste.

Vanda square. I don't remember what it was called. It was probably one of the first ones I got.
