Slewfoot: Pretty set with only five? Those lovely jackets need more friends! Seriously, though, a gun club and houndstooth would be great additions.

I visited a mill in Wales while on holiday there this summer - they're still producing tweeds like this if you fancy giving it a go...

(I was tempted by a hat, ended up with just a bedspread).

They have a floating canvas hair panel but I'm pretty sure they also use some fusing. I own a number of suits from them and am very happy with them, yet their house style is evidently quite different from the "typical SF style" (if that exists). And yes, they are very nice people.

Welsh tapestry tweed is (or was) not unusual in women's clothing (though the above picture is the only piece of menswear made of it that I've ever seen).

Ha! Thanks and you're probably right. Who am I kidding? :^) More comes down to the fact that I literally am running out of closet space. Going to need to get creative with storage. I do have 3 London Lounge tweed cloths in the waiting so we'll see what happens with those. They are below. In terms of a Gun Club style jacket, I'm thinking I may do a Gun Club, but in a Houndstooth pattern as opposed to the standard check. Not sure yet and am waiting on a few swatches.

Although I would not strictly call these tweed, they are similar to the fancy woven welsh tweeds.
Most of these however are french vintage suits, they did some amazing fancy wool weaves : )

It looks like 70s patterned double-knit.
However, I can't imagine that someone who wore
    double-knit, etc. also wore tweed.
