^ digging the cut and side vents on that jacket....I would love to get something just like that.

I actually just picked up my first tweed, finally. Olive Marl Harris Tweed fabric with half-canvassed construction, goat suede elbow patches and undercollar, and side vents. It's at the tailor right now, I'll post some pics here when I pick it up.

Lucky you OlSarge, for the few cold days (not the little money) and yes there have been some great tweeds displayed recently.. I go away for a few days and the thread goes wild again ;)

This is exactly the kind of tweed jacket I'm looking for. Patch pockets, medium brown herringbone, perfect size lapels and those edge details on lapels and pockets. Where to find something similar?

Cross-posted from the Unfunded Liabilities thread... I managed to bag an end of roll length of Fleet suiting cloth from the Dashing Tweeds site of the right length (4.1m or 4.5 yards - 150cm / 60" width) for at least a two-piece and possibly even a three piece suit for a gentleman of my proportions (i.e. small) - and for around half the usual (steep) price per metre. Next step is to find the right tailor in London...

ha, yeah don't know why you would need to find something similar if that one has everything you've been looking for. Just get that RRL jacket, it looks great!

I would, but it's probably discontinued long ago and so far haven't found one on eBay either. Thus the search for something similar.

    Lovely!

I'm wondering if we shouldn't start a thread in praise of Tommy Nutter.

All this plaid and tweed interest this year seems to really be kicking in stronger. I think it's a 'trend' that has serious legs for a while to come.
