Sorry, I missed that! Yes, RLPL, 70% cashmere, 30% silk, 110% sechsy. :smarmy: got it on B&S last year for like $40.

Well, I hate to be the one to tell you man, but it's not really workin' for you anymore, sorry! With that in mind you're probably looking for a way to ditch that thing and somehow keep your dignity at the same time. You know what? I'll be a good sport and look after that for you...hell, I'll even slide you enough $ to pay for the shipping to send that thing to me. That's right, I'm willing to take that tie off of your hands and thereby set you on the right path.. You'll be a better man for it....no, really,,,,,,,,,

Thoughts on making this fabric into a three piece suit? Too heavy? Is it ok to make tweed into a suit? (three piece or not)

I love my 3 piece tweed suits...but my I suggest a 2 piece instead and place a fair isle slip over vest to complement the gorgeous earth tone hues on your tweed.

Personally I would make an odd trouser out of it...but I can easily see an odd tweed jacket, fair isle slipover, and a heavy earth toned corduroy trouser

Too heavy? That depends on where you live. If it's cold enough, no, it isn't too heavy. Is it okay to make into a suit> Ohmigawd, yes! That would make a fabulous suit. Admittedly, I would make a shooting suit out of it with biswing shoulders and a half belt in back. I'd also ask for both long trews and breeks . . . and make sure the waistcoat has cartridge loops inside the pockets! Gorgeous, just gorgeous.

Achilles I have a swatch of this- it's quite hairy (and heavy).

I do as well. I'm not too familiar with how warm cloth wears based on weight, so I wanted to check. It would seem that a three piece (and maybe and two piece) suit would be too heavy. I live in the midwest, so we do get some cold weather. But I work in an office, so it is probably overkill.
