I'm pretty sure I've missed my window for having another tweed jacket/suit made for this season. But, planning ahead to next fall/winter, what does everyone think of #2, #4, or possibly #8 in a 3-piece suit?

Those three would work well though I admit to favoring 6. I even checked on 7 but it has been removed from the fabric list. I guess it's gone.

Aren't those cashmere blends? I doubt the fabrics are sturdy, not to mention that they aren't suitings although it seems like #2 could work as a suit.

No, they aren't blends. A rep from Holland & Sherry indicated to me that these would work as suitings (he was showing me #2 in particular), even though they are advertised as jacketings...

Did you think they looked like cashmere blends because of the flexibility of the fabric or because they're more finished looking than the average tweed?

    Just curious.

2 looks like a normal gray thornproof, would look great as a three piece. I would love a brown thorn proof as well though.

6 & 8 would work well, although I do like the solid colours also... :)

Spoo - You gotta tell us about that tie man! What's the low-down on that thing? (It's [email protected] amazing!!)

Also, check this out; is Frank wearing a very similarly patterned tie here?
